Business Intelligence Analyst

THE ROLE:

As a member of our Sales Operations department, you will empower our Sales teams to do what they do best, sell. You will act as a strategic voice to provide direction in the execution of quarterly/annual business plans and go-to-market strategies to support rapid revenue growth. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with the Sales and Executive leadership teams to provide on-going support for strategic planning, business systems, process improvement, data modeling, reporting, and analytics. This role will interact frequently with C-Team leadership. This person will provide CRM systems user support of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and work with the Sales teams to ensure data integrity and quality.

This position reports to the Manager, Sales Operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Be a trusted advisor, business partner and thought leader for the Sales organization and C-Team leadership.
  • Drive business intelligence development and/or improvements to current reports, dashboards, visual management, etc. for Commercial Sales and/or C-Team leadership to analyze and monitor current performance and identify trends at various levels, including sales projections, pipeline coverage, win/loss analysis, white space opportunities, new logo/cross-sell analysis, etc.
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting cadences with Sales leadership and coordinate with Sales Managers and Finance on monthly/quarterly forecast projections for Executive Leadership.
  • Provide inputs and support for the monthly closing activities, coordinating with Sales, Finance, and other Sales operations team members. Provide end of month/quarter key commentary, analysis, and insights to Executive Leadership.
  • Lead core Sales processes to include strategic planning, forecasting, key performance metrics (strategy and plan design), and coverage modeling.
  • Champions scale in the business through initiatives such as simplification and standardization of processes, policies, and operating infrastructure.
  • Work directly with Sales and Business Systems to drive improvements, opportunity accuracy and integrity throughout the Sales pipeline process in all forecast categories, deal stages, and transaction types. Understand the technology landscape for potential tools to improve sales processes.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Proven working experience in Sales Operations, Customer Success Operations, Sales Finance support or other relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in business processes and systems, i.e., sales/renewals cycle, CRM applications, reporting, visual management, forecasting, territory management and planning/quotas.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products with strong Microsoft Excel experience. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau experience desired.
  • Extensive Salesforce or CRM experience needed.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to communicate trends and propose solutions.
  • Experience with data analytics software such as Tableau beneficial.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and drive to own innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relational skills with Executive Leadership and Cross-Functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious and a desire for continuous learning.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products with strong Microsoft Excel experience.
  • BI Analytics – Tableau experience (preferred).
  • Proficient with SQL
  • Extensive Salesforce or CRM experience needed.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in business processes and systems, i.e., sales/renewals cycle, CRM applications, reporting, visual management, forecasting, territory management and planning/quotas.

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Finance, Business Planning, or Strategic Planning
  • 3+ years in reporting and analytics
  • 2+ years experience in a SaaS based or similar subscription based company.
