In fact, in 2020, Toronto was the second most active data center market in terms of growth in North America, after Northern Virginia. Much of this was due to huge investments by cloud providers, but this growth is ultimately due to the shift to hybrid cloud models by large enterprises that are based in or doing significant business in Canada. And that growth continues. The Canadian data center market was valued at $3B USD in 2020 and is expected to grow to nearly $6B by 2026.
